This is a beautiful santo painting on a carved wood dough bowl (batea) depicting San Pasqual, patron saint of cooks and kitchens. Hand painted by a master artist in the Filemon family from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Intricate detail by a master artist, with a few milagros (prayer charms) around the rim as well. Rich jewel tones with a waxed finish. X large at 19.75 x 8.25 x 1.5. One minor dry seam in the wood at the top (see last photo).
